A lemon tree and cypresses in a Provençal garden

Where it all comes from

The Garden in Lourmarin

Every collection starts in the same place: a stone house at the foot of the Luberon, with a lemon tree, three cypresses and a vegetable patch that nobody has managed to keep tidy.

Grand-mère Rose

The house belonged to Rose, Lou's grandmother, who sewed her own summer dresses and never left for the market without a raffia basket. Her baskets, her striped aprons and her straw hats are still in the cupboard, and the design team goes back to them every season.

The colours of the collections come from the garden: lemon yellow, the dusty green of olive leaves, the terracotta of the pots and the sky blue of the shutters.

A summer residency

Every July, we invite two young craftspeople, a weaver and a ceramicist this year, to spend a month in the house. The objects they make there join our Objects & Toys collection the following spring.
