The House
ROUVIÈRE began in Marseille, with one bag sewn on a kitchen table and a market stall on the Cours Julien. Today the house makes clothes, bags, shoes and objects that carry the light of the south wherever they go.
A house from the south
Lou Rouvière grew up between the harbour of Marseille and a family house in the Luberon, where summers meant lavender, market baskets and long lunches under a lemon tree. The first collection, twelve pieces in white poplin and raffia, was sold from a borrowed stall in 2012.
The brand still works the way it began: few pieces, made well, in colours you can find on a walk by the sea. Everything is designed in our studio in Paris and in Marseille, and made with workshops in Italy, Portugal, Spain and France that we visit every season.
