Choosing the hide
We use full-grain calfskin from a tannery near Arzignano that works with metal-free tanning for our light colours.
- 02
Cutting
The twenty-two pieces are cut by hand around the natural marks of the hide; the flap is always cut from the best part, along the spine.
- 03
Shaping
The body is mounted on a wooden form shaped like a pebble and left overnight so the leather keeps its curve.

Edges and finishing
Edges are sanded and painted three times by hand. The magnetic snap is hidden under a brass button made in the Jura.
