    The fibre

Raffia is harvested from palm leaves, dried in the sun for two weeks and sorted by width and colour.

  2. 02

    Weaving

A weaver needs a full day for a Panier, starting from the base and working up the sides in a tight herringbone.

  3. 03

    Shaping

The basket is dampened and set on a wooden block so all the Paniers keep exactly the same shape.

  4. 04

    Leather

The rim and handles are cut and stitched in our Marseille atelier, then the basket is signed inside.
